The border settlement of Pitchcliff is under attack by Glinthawks, What could have caused such an assault?
Go to Pitchcliff and help them defend against the Glinthawks. After you've dealt with the Glinthawks, go find the Leader of Pitchcliff, Ralert.
Aloy will have to investigate Pitchcliff and find the source of the machine problem. One of the people at Pitchcliff will explain why they are attacking. Head over to the location he will provide and investigate further.
Once you reach the workshop a Stormbird will be guarding it. Probably lured by the luring devices. Destroy all 3 of the lures and destroy the Stormbird.
To deal with the Stormbird, equipping outfits like the Oseram Sparkworker Heavy will greatly help with the Shock damage that a Stormbird deals. Destroying its wing components will also help to keep it from flying around. Destroy all wing components to keep it grounded and if you have a Shadow Ropecaster, this will also keep it on the ground making it easier to target specific components and weak spots.
Investigate the Workshop and return to Ralert to report about your findings.
